RINGS

By mukti on Yesterday 7:39 pm

This was another track I quickly built in a few hours, this time on Saturday. I was playing around with the wavsynth on my M8 in an attempt to make a sound similar to the synths in Switch Angel's latest track, Foundation 1. Didn't quite get it, but found some other sounds I like and made this pretty cool trance (?) track. There are a few parts that end/cut weird, and mixing could have been a bit better.... I wanted everything loud 😅. Any feedback is appreciated!

The track name came from the M8 wavetable I built the lead synth from, WT-EFX: RINGS. The album art this week is a pic of my hand.

the use of vocals here are amazing, and I'm also super enchanted by that gated synth. amazing!

Hell yes it’s trance my friend. The vocal is chefs kiss, but the thing I really like is the overall atmosphere. You’ve got good layer separation so it still feels big and floaty, even though we’ve got a bunch of sounds going at once.

Seriously obsessing on the vocal still haha.

If you’re not familiar, check out Stage One - Space Maneuvers. I don’t know why but this feels like a descendant of stuff from that era, which is high praise from my old ass

Thanks! I love the gated synth too - I sometimes wonder if I use that effect too much haha.

Thanks! I did try to get it to be cohesive with all of those different sounds, but kept bringing everything way up 😅. I haven't heard of that, but I'll check it out!

love how this sounds. the atmosphere, sound design of the instruments and the vocals as others have pointed out. great cohesive and enjoyable piece.
