PRAVIGI

By mukti on May 26, 2024 2:53 pm

The past few weeks I've had a lot of excuses for my quick/lazy tracks. This week, the only excuse is in the title, PRAVIGI. It's an Esperanto word that means "excuse" or "justify."

I might have gone too hard on the pulsing effect with the drums and lead, but it came out kind of interesting. Any feedback is appreciated!

Hey better to make fun loops then nothing at all! + since WB is every two years, next year you will have a lot of "lazy excuses" track to pick up from and improve upon when you want to make something, nothing is lost.

This one definitely has a fun rave vibe to it, I don't think the pulsing is too much, it just feels like your chord-type synth is on a whole different layer than the rest, which is not bad, but does create a lot of contrast. There are new follower envelopes on M8 that allow you to create sidechaining effects, you could then lower the volume of your bass drum, have your synth chords louder but control their volume by following the kick drum.

Drums and synths are fine, tho the minor sound gives off a scary vibe

I completely forgot about those envelopes! I ended up using them for my next two tracks - so much nicer than the manual pulsing thing I was doing before lol
