KONKURI

This week I tried to make a high energy track that gave off some "arcade racing game" vibes.

I really like some of the rattling, shaky sounds you can get from the triple triangle and plucked macrosynths on the m8, which is what you hear a lot of in the background of the track. I played a bit with different envelopes and effects for the lead synth, which came from a sample bundle someone uploaded on the m8 discord. The kick and hat are essentially modified versions of drums in the DW01 Synthdrums pack. I played a little with tables again this week, but nothing super fancy.

The reason I was looking for a some racing vibes is because I'm doing a triathlon relay this weekend (only doing the biking portion). The title of the track is the Esperanto word for COMPETE, since I'll be competing in that race instead of putting last min finishing touches on this track.

Photo is a zoomed in shot of the cassette on my bike.

Looks like you have quite a lot of teeth on this cassette!

Let's push hard on those pedals!!!

I liked the beat.

It doesn't quite scream high energy, not at that tempo anyway, more a gentle whisper of high energy

Thanks! I pushed hard enough and ended up getting first place in my division 🥇

Maybe preparing for something high energy, or building tension for high energy? More like the main menu for a racing game than the actual gameplay 😅

Either that, or the post-apocalyptic credits sequence.
