FINO

I made it, uploaded all 52 weeks, I can't believe it! This really fun to be a part of, and definitely helped me figure out aspects of music creation, mixing, and mastering. Not sure how I'll feel over the coming weeks without a track that I have to work on, but I do look forward to revisiting a few tracks that I created for WB24.
This week, I was using my my M8:01 as a midi controller to play with a few Arturia VSTs, and came up with a main hook that I really liked. I built a track around that using some vocal samples that I chopped up a bit. All the main synths and horn sounds are from the Arturia synths, but drums were created using DW01 Synthdrums, and the higher pitched sliding synth is a reworked version of mikey303's "bittersweet" instrument, included in the default packs on the M8. I really like how this track turned out, but it might be a touch too wordy... please provide any critical feedback! I think this would be classified as "deep house" but I'm terrible with genres - if you have a suggestion, let me know!
The original name for this track was going to be PEZO (weight), GRAVITO (gravity), or SUBEN (down); but since this is the last week, I called it FINO, the Esperanto word for "END".
The visual this week was generated with ffmpeg to generate and warp waveforms of stems and parts of the track, then modified in Shotcut. I was inspired to try and make a video synced to my song after watching OrangeDrink's video from last week. Not as impressive, but still kind of cool!
Thanks to everyone who listened, commented on tracks, and gave me advice and assistance throughout 2024, its been fun!
