EKESTI

By mukti on December 15, 2024 9:54 pm

I had a bit of a block this week and procrastinated on this track until the weekend. On Saturday I started a few different tracks but really didn't like anything I had come up with. On Sunday morning, I started playing with samples and some old instruments, and created the track I eventually submitted. Its (as usual) repetitive and a bit short, but after playing with it I think I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. There could have been some variation to make the track more interesting and extend it a bit; but since I was running out of time, I'll have to expand on it some more in the future. Any feedback for a v2 revision is appreciated!

EKESTI is the Esperanto word for "arise," which doesn't entirely fit the track's sound... but since I came up with it after waking up and I had a picture of an escalator handy... I went with it.

cool loop. I hate when you have to keep starting a new song cause nothing is moving. Glad you were able to push through. The synth that comes in at 30 really ads some tension while the beat and vocal chop keep the pace. Good groove and dig all the layers in there.

Definitely needs more stuff happening to balance that organ playing
- Ebrit

The organ sounds massive―it swallows everything around it!  The intro vox+riff+riser section felt great.

For sure - this is a bit more simple compared to other tracks I've made.

Thanks! The organ was definitely one of the parts I liked most when making this one!
