Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

By muhamor on April 5, 2026 11:48 pm

Hi hi, thanks for stopping by!

It's been another busy week, and I'm continuing to prep for my live M8 set next weekend. This track was based on an 8-bar loop from last week and put together in a couple of hours on Sunday smile.

nicely sliced! always fun to read about how yall make your tracks, though I rarely understand all of it smile thank you

The pads make me think of Orbital. The bass gives me a such nice hug. Also enjoy standing on the shoulders of giants. It's such a nice shortcut that gets you somewhere, instead of staring at a blank canvas smile Enjoyed the chords, the bass is probably what makes this special. But I'd probably say that about any track big_smile

Love the pulsing gated rhythm with the pads and that slick reese bass.  Agree with jimmac got some old school Orbital feels from this.  Excellent work

Thanks for the listen! This is my first time hearing about Orbital, so it sounds like I have a bit of homework to do smile. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good reese
