I just came here to say how cool this sounded in the playlist, but having read just the prod notes: this is really a cool direction to go in, especially using something like the M8. Looking forward to what you try next.
Wow, was not expecting this to be M8!
shakuhachi sounds great, love that big overblown note at the end.
I love hearing about people's inventive workflows to create their music. this is a cool use of the m8 and a chill listen! what happens at 1:26? hitting the m8 mic!?
Echoing what the others have said, I would have NEVER expected stuff like this to be done on the m8. Mean this as a compliment btw.
I really enjoyed the track; very organic and meditative sounding composition.
Blows my mind how any time I start feeling like I'm walking circles with my use of the m8 , other folks remind me there's a million other approaches to it. The diversity of sounds people get with that thing is wild to me.
I should really try to use that sample mode you described, I actually did not know it existed, so thank you for that!

Aww thank you for the kind words

Thank you! It's kinda wild how much you can get out of the m8 built-in mic and a filter+effects

You know I'm not too sure - I think it was me clicking the button to stop recording
. I noticed the a click in the recording and cranked up delay+reverb right before the hit.

aww thanks
. It's wild to see such a positive response to this track from everyon
. I definitely had some vague idea that it was possible to record this way on the m8, but I had to do a bit of digging on the dirtywave discord to figure out how to do it. The nice thing about a shakuhachi is it's a pentatonic minor scale so improvising stuff is easy if you stick to the main notes.
