Another rushed week, but luckily I was able to break up production sessions into multiple days so it didn't feel as much of a grind. I've been listening to a lot of Porter Robinson recently, and this one's a little inspired by his sound design. I didn't explore any major new production techniques this week, though - mostly just some tried experiments with builds and layering. I tried a thing where I layered the saw chords in the final chorus with a power chord in the WAV-PARAPHONIC mode of the macrosynth -- don't know if it adds a ton, but it was fun to try

I felt like I could have kept going with developing the sections of this track. For a long time this year, I would pick up the M8 and feel like I was pulling teeth making arrangement and mixing decisions when making a song. And with this one, it's like I just had kind of a stream of ideas flowing. It's Sunday afternoon and there's no time, but I'm excited to see how things go in the next few months.
