Home Invaders

Back on the M8, though I'm still eyeing up the Stylophone DS-2 for future fun. This one has been an unfinished loop for a few months and I finally figured out what to do with it. There's still more tweaking to be had, but WB waits for nobody.

This project is 100% synths and all my own patches, but I'm proudest of the bass (I called it "NovaSynth" because it sounds like something that would be from the old educational TV show Nova). Getting the M8 to sound like a thick old analogue synth is always fun. If you want to grab it for your own use, you don't even need a bundle, just grab the project file!

There could be more variety. There could be a few extra instruments/sounds to keep it a little more fresh. I broke the delay timing at the end somehow and haven't figured out what happened. And I probably could have put in another section to break up the monotony. Hopefully I can fix all that stuff later!

Ermagerd_Snr, indeed

Dat frickin snare goes insane. So chunky and crispy.

Aw yeah, that bass is fat! Very nice arrangement, has a great progression.

very nice doctor. lots of great patches you've created; the bass is great but also the snare and the little organ-y sound. i'm particularly fond of the parts where the bass and melodic element play around each other a bit more isolated / in stillness (0:30 as an example).

Excellent bass in yo face feels from that synth and love the organ lead and spacey lead that trade off with each other.  Oooh and such a sweet effect fill that cascades out yikes  Awesome work!

There's a bit of a retro sci-fi feel to this that is very cool.  I can imagine flying saucers descending on some idyllic 1950's small town.  Lots of great sounds.

Yeah that bass is BIG!

It's got that science video vibe, dusty VHS goodness.

love it !!! like a final fantasy sound track !!!

WB Waits for nobody indeed. Holy bass, that hits! I wanna loop that bass and enter a pod of that bass. Tasty synths happening too, nice. I like the skitterish in and out beat, goes tightly with the elements.

Digging the phaatnessess. Thanks you.

Great sound design, nailed the vibe of this one, love that lead synth melody at 1:20 with the ever present looming bass.

goddamn, that shit is angry. Great work!

I feel like the monotony doesn't really matter when your sound design is carrying like this.

So heavy and moody - love the low end on the main synth bass it sounds so deep and have a great subby ness. Really sick when the melody kicks in around the 1:20 mark. Nice track!

Cool track, makes me feel cyberpunk!
