1-2-3 Toca La Pared

The prompt was "Red Light Green Light" and all I could think of was J.A. Bayona's 2007 masterpiece The Orphanage (El Orfanato). So I sampled it. Other than that I had zero plan for this one, just kind of a mood, which I didn't achieve. I wanted it to be quietly menacing, but ended up with my normal hectic randomness. C'est la vie.

Lovely use of vocal samples and great mood. Lots of head bobbing here.

Wow. DAMN you’re ending the year strong.

The sample was a great start, and continued to add cinematic intensity. Loved how that intro was all icy spaciousness. The swell at 1:15 was a great transition to the second section, which to me had something of a synthetic Spanish guitar feel (which is fitting). Atmospheric, cinematic and very much a mood. You’ve had hectic randomness in the past, and this ain’t it - there was a deliberate feel to the song and tempo that was perfect. Well done, I think it’s one of your best this year.

whooaoo love that panning synth right from the start! Great samples. The laughing one so good. Doens't feel hectic or random at all. Love all the bits and bops you got in there.
