This started out as a RnB ballad and one wrong chord through it into Jazz. Not an aficionado by any stretch but was happy with this. Vocals a little low in the mix not sure why - not a tech wizard sadly. Enjoy!

Great stuff! I like how this turned out jazzy, because I think it really does a lot for the feel of the song!

I think one thing that makes the vocals sit a bit low in the mix is that they sound 'a bit far away'. It is as if there is a reverb on it that positions the vocals a bit in the back of the track (although I assume this is just the way it was recorded). Without the verb, it would probably already sound much more front and center. I have no hands on experience with mixing vocals, but I think a little sprinkling of sidechaining might also help. 

Thanks dude, I record in a spare room and honestly it's luck of the draw, sometimes the vocals sound way too close and clippy, sometimes they're far away and other times it sits just right!
