hypersunrise

I guess this is week 6. I find myself fighting the M8 a lot, even with simple stuff. I spent too long struggling with Hypersynth, trying to plot chords and then ran outa time. This is something that would only take a few seconds on my other machines. I know this is probably just a user issues but the learning curve is not getting easier.

This week was mostly just exploring the new high-res PPQ options. I can make it swing like my MPC now, but I still can't get my head around the hex numbers.

One thing I'm happy with is the 'punch' and the overall mix. I think that is starting to get easier.

Love the restrained, mellow vibe here. Sweet way to start a Monday morning!

This sounds nice & loose. The chords are lovely, and that fun chippy lead is nice and bright. Not everyone gels with the M8 but from the sound of this track you're doing awesome. I hope it doesn't get too frustrating. As for the hex numbers, my brain treats them as patterns rather than actual values if that makes sense. The number representation doesn't matter, I just keep a loose association in my head based on what values I'm changing.

Keep it up with the m8 this sounds good!!
I got it at the end of last year and slowly I start to remember those hex numbers, or even just remembering that 80 is usually in the middle for some things, other than that the phrases become a mess after a while ahahah

Hypersynth is awesome and I found using the voice command helps to make it more expressive, it is true that some things are faster in a traditional daw or synth but many others are actually easier and quicker in the m8, it is a different mindset for sure heart

Also another thing that is helping me is to focus on few things everytime, it takes a while to learn so I feel is best to only use the hypersynth for some tracks for example, or only focus on the new ppq which I havent even touched cause there still some more basic stuff I'd like to get more familiar with

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Despite my frustrations I do really enjoy using the M8, and everyone's encouragement has helped keep me motivated.
