After making a grand statement about building my improv dark acid techno set up this year... well... this isn't that. This is soooo so silly. Plinky ponky music for cats.

There is  a little method behind this madness though, I’m experimenting with ways to make a simple slider / potentiometer non-linear / stepped by adding custom curves in Max (A bit like the Ableton performance pack, but.. moar.) The idea is that complex multi track transpositions can be played with (in this case) a slider on a dj controller (Traktor Z1 Mk2) but in long term…. some kinda custom physical midi interface.

I spent all the time on the set up / back end / max stuff, so the track this week is just a silly fun noodle to check if what I’m planning is actually doable (it is) yay! 😁 back to the dark acid techno next week... maybe...

That growly meow in the background has a little bit of that dark acid-ey feel to it still though! This is pretty fun. We all could use more meows in our tracks

feelz so lovely!

Loved how dynamic the groove is. Tempo feels static yet I feel like it decelerates / accelerates. Loved the contrasting smooth sound with the more aggressive tempo

Very cool drive.

I really like the piano motive as well!

Well played.

Love how intensive and heavy the synths are. Groove is heavy too
