Shadowfall

By Mission Crossing on January 21, 2024 8:26 pm

This started out as something more ambient, but then after I added the drums it just kept snowballing. Mixing this was hard (a little muddy and the drums were too loud), and I'm still unsatisfied with the mix, but eventually I just bit the bullet and uploaded. Enjoy!!

love the glitchiness on the high end!! So cool!

Holy shit this is tasty.

oh hell yeah I feel like I'm communing with the INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY

totally relate to experiencing feature creep on an arrangement smile the mix is pretty solid though! pull some of the sub frequencies away from the glitch kick drum and that will sort a lot of the mud out i think.

I mean this is just great.  I feel like I would struggle to even nit pick the mix, like it sounds dope. I can imagine those kicks in the opening were a challenge... but sooooooooo worth it... like it gave me instant "stanky face" (>д<)... ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬

Ooooh, how hypnotic! This track has such a beautiful texture and deep tone to it. big_smile

love that lead sound around 45 seconds, just beautiful

If there's one thing I love, it's putting delay on arps.  The ones in the intro are excellent.

Very good overall, nice mix of tension and sweetness.

This is awesome smile I think the mix is just fine!

Honestly, these are arguably the most lowest key drums I've heard all week, which is an interesting change of pace
But these also sound really, really good
You did the best you could with mixing with only 2 channels, it'd need surround sound to achieve what you could go for here

Dope first drop.  This is a dope song!  Love the melody and mood. Deft triggering skills!  Great mix too, imo!

i love 2:00-2:30 nice tunes through it all

getting an early 2000s warp vibe from this one, the acid line that comes in right before 2:00 really elevates it

Whoa, the drums that kick in sound awesome. Everything stacks on the beat beautifully. I'm glad you went in this direction!

Dig it! Synths are great, drums and mix sound good too.

This is a very good one. A+++

I like this especially the 303 and the clicky drum sounds.

It's all about that delicate slightly glitched beat:)
