Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.

Manifesto

This was inspired by an essay by Luigi Russolo called The Arts of Noises that was chosen as this week's theme.  I've always wanted to do work with field recordings.  This is the first noise collage type piece I've done.  I used a few things I've recorded myself and some other bits and pieces I found around the nets.

cfurrow, here's the link to the essay that was posted in the forums in the week 7 theme post.  I found it (unsurprisingly) a bit dated, since a lot of what it talks about has happened, think John Cage, Iannis Xenakis and such.  Still an interesting theme and a fun little project.
