Excited to back for more Weekly Beats and to hear everyone's creations! Hope everyone had a great 2019. I've been working with collaborators to get some songs finished and released under the Creatures Once name. Will have those up on Soundcloud and Bandcamp and streaming services throughout the year. Despite the indicators from the world at large, I'm feeling optimistic about 2020. Maybe just because I like the way the number looks and it being a new decade and all that.

This track started with a Circuit MonoStation session (my fave pieces of gear started using in 2019). Sampled some of that and put some drums down. Posted a beat to Soundcloud and shared with friend who wanted some beats to rap on. This week, I kept those Monostation sounds, changed up some drums and had live session where a friend put down guitar and I did some Organelle processed voice noises. Chopped that up and added it in the mix. In Ableton, processed guitar with Pedal and Amp and did some aggressive EQing to get it to sit with the the Mono stuff. So far, I'm digging this rocking, head bobbing vibe. There's something about some BIG old guitar riffage that just feels right.

Welcome back!  I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about 2020 also.  Hoping for the best anyway.  I dig the ominous tone on this one.  It sounds evil.  And big guitar riffage is always welcome in my book.  Rock on!

I dig the Mono Station groove and all that spacey atonal stuff. Nice transitions too.

Welcome back! Great to see you around again! I feel the same way about the new year, I'm very optimistic. Nice work on the atmosphere in this tune, the guitar riffs fit in really well heart

Love how it evolves into noisy - great 2nd half!  welcome back!

Drums are heavy... nice mix between the guitars and the synth!

Oooh deep crunchy beats merging nicely with that guitar line.  That almost computer-like repeating chord gives it a nice touch too.  Mr. Robot hacking people's profiles tongue Welcome back!

fuk yeah

Killer start!  Glad you are back and bringing positive vibes for 2020.  Serious head nodding going on here, going to have to go see the chiropractor, that heavy guitar fits in perfect.

Yessss! I love the spacey/organic sound blend, the track makes me think of a huge spaceship flying through an asteroid belt, obliterating anything in its path. Welcome back!

Thank you, great to see you back here! Glad to hear there's another cautious optimist in the building. Optimism is great, but exercising caution is probably the best practice.

Awesome, thank you my dude, glad you digs! I think of some of our jams with the mono with this, and more mono to come this year I'm sure! Transitions, some drops, risers or whatever ... most def on the to do list for this year for getting better at. Funny cuz this week I did like none of that!

Ha! yeah Mr Robot hacking indeed, such good soundtrack work on that! That was happy accident of voice processed on some Organelle vocoder patch, chopped on the Push and played random things ... I'm digging that part more and more too. Welcome back to you too, can't wait to hear the music!

Dark and growly. I hear some robots talking to me. The guitar and clap percussion are awesome!

Thanks! Yeah, dark and growly not always my style, but thats what the song wanted. Yeah, the guitar is the star here I think.
