Whatever Happens Today

Some organic exploration and improvising. I started this last week with a beat in my mind. Improvised some parts on the Push. A couple tracks of Wavetable in the low and high freqs. Did chords and the other parts very randomly, not real formula, I hear a few bits that have some dissonance ... but didn't bother me too much, I like being unpredictable. Improvised some vocoded vox through the mininova and some normal. The vocoded vox I recorded while making last weeks track, so is in that theme of "today." The normal vocals improvised last night, not sure what I was getting at. I think feeling thankful for loved ones and not being alone in this sometimes messy ride. smile heart

Digging the beat on this one, definite head nod beat, what I love is how all your music sounds fun and you can hear you having fun making it.

Love that Push!

This is fun and weird, but that's what I want!  I like how you let the ideas flow and don't get too caught up in pretense.  A+

Thanks so much, that's a really amazing compliment to hear! All about the fun of making, and if result also sounds fun, that's a big win.

Oh yeah, I love me some Push pad noodling. Glad you like the fun and weird.  Yeah, sometimes I get get caught up in the pretense, but on a good day, I forget all that mess and just let ideas flow. Glad you mentioned flow and pretense though, good ideas to think about when creating. Thanks!

Very cool laid back vocal style. The middle section is a real trip. Very uplifting sound. Good build up. I like the rhythms too. Nice work!

Chilled out and cool.  Lots of details but they blend well together into a unified whole.

Love the myriad of cool synths coming and going, perfect pairing with the beats and the singing smile A very successful exploration if you ask me big_smile

Thanks very much! Love that you described as uplifting. Still trying to figure out vocals as I go (and if I should even mess with them), but I think the style will indeed be laid back.

Thanks! Always good to hear it didn't appear to fall apart too bad. Gotta keep it chill sometimes.
