Red Dress

Went to a jam session this week - drums, bass, guitar and vocals. I was playing some synths and other bits on the Push, and recorded a few minutes of the session with the built-in laptop mic (Apple mac pro, pretty decent for what it is).
So for this track I took the recording of the session, chopped it, tapped out some new parts, flipped, reversed, mangled and had a good old time. Ended up doubling each of the recorded tracks, panning each, varying effects between them some. Starting to try and work with panning and this whole fancy thing called "stereo" more. So most of what's here samples and loops from the live session. I added some midi guitar sounds in the middle. A kototar preset, with some effects, the Heavy Amp ... then it gets more noisy with an LFO preset I tweaked more, effects, Heavy amp again, automated some chopping effects until chaos. Title is from a vocal snip in there. The percussion I have used before - from behr's santuri safari Live pack. Great stuff. Last week and this also started playing with the Sausage Fattener plugin - find that makes audio sound ... much fatter. Also just started playing around with Vulf Compressor. Love Vulpeck's music, heard about this plugin they worked with GoodHertz on making that was inspired by Madlib's use of Roland's SP 303 sampler. It's a powerful, easy to use, versatile plugin with a well designed UI, which I appreciate. I'm just starting to dig into it.
So for an experiment I wasn't really sure would work, I dig this, and certainly had fun making it.
