An edit of a live session from last weekend with frequent guitarist collaborator AM Faulks. I put down the drums, percussion, and bass line while he improvised on top. Last song of a two hour session, so we were both warmed up and maybe a little ready to stop. I took 30 minutes recording or so and cut it down to this. May have cut some good bits, but so it goes. I didn't take the time to go back and use my actual Ableton clips that I created during the session, but just used the audio output which as everything in it (I would like to bring the busy percussion out more in places). Spent some more time this week just trying thing to make audio sound better, still have a lot to learn there, but always fun to experiment. Also chopped up a few sections on the Push and tapped out some new beats, put filter on t hose and used in intro and underneath the main audio on places. Guitar playing is great as always, had some good bits to work with. Cut his parts up and edited somewhat, its close to how he played live, but not exactly.

It has kind of a futuristic vibe to me.  It was cool to zone out to in my headphones.  smile

Nicely repurposed. Are those vocals in the beginning or am I hallucinating?

great textures and kind of raindrop percussion.  your friend is a good guitarist!  fantastic track title, really is provocative

Awesome thanks for listening and comment as usual, zoning out seems about the target for this one. All for futuristic vibes, as the future will be here one day.

Thanks much! I enjoy his guitar playing a lot too, he's not so confident about it unfortunately. Title idea maybe came to me from having just read the last Golden Compass book.
