Placated Missive

These songs go where they go. I had vague idea this week to make something I might want to dance to. I kept trying different things and not making a lot of decisions and was about out of time, so I let the sample lead me. I had started playing with these samples from Sote, made with Iranian instruments: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/sote-electronic-music-iran/
I had messed about with those for a while and had a bunch of clips, so I let those be my theme and tried to build around those. I kept some of the chords I had done while going different direction. Not entirely happy with this, but there's some sounds I like and potential for more exploration in the future.

Cool rhythms. I like the intro, it's something different. I like the stew of crunchy textures you've got brewing in this one.

Some really cool ingredients in here for sure.  Intro was dope and I like the synths that pop in around the halfway point.  I also like how the rhythms change.

Oh my God, this one is so good. Those sounds, especially at the very start, have just the right amount of pop and rawness. Sounds like something from a heavy neuro tune. That kick drum if hugee as well. Incredbile job! heart

Abstracted Middle Eastern vibes. Really good.

Always have a conversation with your work. ::)

Yeah perfect track for dancing when the beat starts....
That funky pinao stabs are also very cool...

Whoa.  Great instrument usage!  For some reason this was kind of a surprise for me.

Thanks! had some pretty great samples to cook with I guess. Synths were fun too. Used a random chord generator, picked a few I liked, brought different instruments in and out. Rhythm change was kind of happy accident I think, just happened, which is always great.
