Give and Take

Give and take, try to have a little of each ... started some lyrics around that idea this week, but never really finished that idea so ended up with something else. Maybe that concept kinds of fits with track that starts half time and goes to double time like this one does. I wanted to make something around the chords used minimally in a track from few weeks back. Chords were randomly generated using a device created by Elphnt Pattern Generator which has some midi routing pre-setup to make it easy. I wanted to take those chords and
make a beat where the chords, and maybe some voice sounds were part of the beat rather than on top of it ... started jamming a couple different sessions this week, and this came out, a bit different. Did vocals and all the scratching on the Kaoss pad, except the high pitch chops are a female vocal sample. Used a whole bunch of synths, Live's Wavetable and Electric, some Afro DJ Mac sample instruments. Had some fun, and this got stuck in my head a bit and the double time part made me dance around, so success at least in self entertainment I guess
