This one is mostly sounds from my first few hours with the model:cycles box. Had some fun with it this week! Kind of merged two ideas here. Most drums, and all synth and bass sounds are from the cycles, but I did add a little extra 808 drums underneath some parts when I put this together in Live. Most of the parts I sequences on the cycles, but the jammy synth lines in the middle, I played on the Push controlling the cycles. Unquantized recording which can be heard. Took this over for a jam with License and he showed me trick of sending the LFO to the shape parameter on a chords track which got those mad squirrelly sounds going on. Fun times! Then found a voice sample to sugar the spice. Not sure where this title came from, but its written on a notebook next to me. Hope everyone is having a good summer, staying healthy and creative. Looking forward to catching up on you tracks this week!

Cool percussive vibe and the stuttering effects on the vocals are cool.  I liked the change in direction when the warbly synths came in.  I have a notebook I keep next to me where I'll often write down weird phrases or ideas that pop in my head and I'll use them later for song titles, often without remembering writing them or what prompted the idea in the first place.

Boomin'! I dig the sound of this thing. Glad that LFO trick worked out, sounds crazy and cool big_smile Nice vocal samples too.
I like the title too... mysterious...

Thanks! I think the warblies are my favorite. Actually, Warbly should be new song title song day. Keeping notebook is great idea, gotta capture those fleeting bits. Now with tech, I've got notes in so many places, hard to find stuff sometimes.

Thanks! Yeah its sounding pretty rich and juicy for sure. Will have to use on more jams soon.

I like the unorthodox way you play with the rhythm and synth in here. The song has a laid-back trip-hoppy vibe, but with lots of crazy nervous sounds and beat-patterns. Fun time indeed.

Thanks! Glad I pulled those rhythms into one song, wasn't too sure. "Crazy nervous" describes those squarely chords perfectly!

Oooh the model:cycles sounds excellent.  Cool laid back vibes with that main beat.  Digging those warbley synth sounds too.

Thanks! Yeah I'm digging the sounds of the model:cycles, especially those warbles! Its a fun box to play with, still haven't really figured out way to work it into my main workflow, which is mainly working on the Push. I sample from it, but not really creating from it at same time I'm creating on Push, adding external gear kind of slows the flow process down a bit.
