Alright Already

Alright already, let's gooo! This is an edit down of a jam a couple weeks ago with License. We both liked this one, so figured let's do this. This was fun since it was our first jam using this gear: he did drums on Digitakt, I did bass on Microfreak, vox through Roland E4 and Kaoss Pad.
Did a little messing around with vox part for this edit, trying to make it more interesting and varied, but recognized a rabbit hole vortex forming, so stopped after a few tweaks here and there. Edited down in size, and did a few chops, some mutes and breaks to try and make more interesting.

sounds like you both shadowbox beatz for a living heart

I like the energy.  And some cool textures.  It sounds a little like a robot rave or something.

another awesome monstergroove. so big and fat and nervous basslines!!! a great project.

That torus gif is magic.
I looove this huge rubbery bass that goes whaaaaw. It feels like this bass is alive. For some reason, this track reminds me of the end of the movie Annihilation (with Nathalie Portman). Are these vocal samples on the top? This is dope.

Thank you so much! Monstergroover sounds like a genre I'd like to listen to. I totally hear the nervousness too, on edge!

Hey hey thanks so much! Yeah I can't get enough of that gif. Yeah that bass is alive, actually smile Oh I know Annihilation, love that music throughout, the deep dark tones, thanks for that. License and I are both fans! He lent me the trilogy last year, so good.  Yep, vocal samples. I looped myself on the Roland E4, then loooped the loop and did other things to it on the Kaoss pad.
