Short entry this week, between getting back from vacation and getting ready to go on a business trip, only had a few hours to throw into this.
My big goal for WeeklyBeats is to stretch myself musically, and right now that means figuring out what other artists are doing so that I can reverse-engineer their tricks and add them to my repertoire. I've set my sights (way too) high to start with, so right now I'm trying to pull apart Yasutaka Nakata's (the producer behind capsule and Perfume) stuff to see if I can replicate his super-tight electro sound. Not quite there yet, but I learned a bunch about Track Stacks, vocoders, and audio buses in Logic!
