"vocals" are from 1992-1993 (probably), when I used to walk around everywhere with a My First Sony and record nonsense and gibberish

Haha awesome, thats a pretty cool idea.  Were you actually singing into it or did you pitch correct it?

this is ok. Musically this flows so well and the layers are outstanding. Bringing out your inner Pogo.

This is such a creative idea. The actual tune is dripping with nostalgia too, this is lovely heart

The original Mike memos! How did 1993 mike know to sing in tune for your 2020 track? Cool how you matched it up. Love the last third of the song where it gets a little dub feel.  Awesome!

Your PLUNDERPHONICS skills are getting better with each track.  The ending melodies you created for this are catchy af

Bet it was a blast listening to those found tapes trying to get ideas for this

This rules- Hot track and the lil vocal recordings are so cute smile

this is amazing.  I wish I could make shit like this...

Really cool concept. Good stuffs.

a lot of luck! what you didn't hear is the hours and hours of out of tune singing

thanks, the trick is to spend way too much time looking for samples

it was, also kind of gave me a headache because im just screaming about Kicking Your Butt All The Way To Pizza Hut for hours

lol yeah you loved that little machine

It's pretty mind-blowing if you think about it from the point of view of your younger self; you've just done a collab with you from the future! The melody will stay in my head for a good while I think, well done!

he literally has hours of tape that he recorded.  must have been pretty painstaking to listen to and get the right samples.  props to my old man for keeping those old cassettes

Mad props, agreed! The concept reminds me of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFGAQrEUaeU

This is super awesome.  Love the collaboration with your younger self.  And it's a pretty rippin' tune as well.

Hahha! this is awesome!

I had one of those as a kid! It was like my favourite thing ever. Digging the nostalgia heart smile

Fantastic project! Well done!

Man this makes me wish I could find my old tapes! I agree with demonzor, the ending melody is pretty catchy... if you remix it, start with the catchy stuff, break it down with the slow intro, then bring it back to the catchy part all the way to pizza hut!

Really charming idea for a track! Great little vibe. Nice job

This is adorable. Great concept.

Super cool track, love how you did integrate the young you into that. smile

Great idea, this is very nice. Bass hitting right, and that voice, adorable. And Hello!

Teach me the way! So sick. Id love to learn how you pitch correct tracks like that.

this is so dope

Yeah! Love this!

This is so fun, a bunch of fun mouth sounds.

This is soooooo incredible!  I also have hundreds of tapes, also never went anywhere without my tape recorders :')

this is me

very cool!

very good use of that beautiful Sony tapemachine. Great song.

Beautiful idea and well-executed. Mix is just right. I wish I knew where my old tapes my brother and I made are.
