The King and The Pauper

By midimachine on January 13, 2012 3:44 am

Whoa. Awesome. I haven't really "produced" something for a while, now. Feels good man!
I even had time to make some minor but necessary changes to the mix, which was groovy!

FL Studio. External instruments include a Roland TB-303 (fair dinkum!), a Yamaha PS-20 (one of the last analog keyboards Yamaha ever made), a DMG and my brother's Squier starter kit p-bass (pitched up an octave for the some parts). All the vocals are me, and I clapped and played a silly wooden drum in this one, too!

This track is sick! The vocals on this one really tied everything together.

I really dig the pop of the "Hey" vocals :]

Great work mate.  Solid track and the vocals are really well done.

This is really well produced.  Loving the layers of sound in there and the vox sit amazingly.  The 303 is great ;-)

WHOA i totally forgot about the casio ctk-731 that i used. rats!
thanks for the compliments, everybody!

THis track is AMAZING. I did not expect this kind of track for this challenge series! Added to my 'best of weakly beets' folder!

So amazing yikes
I can't say I've heard a 303 fit in with the typical "rock" setup so well before.

Great vocals. Awesome shoegazey deliciousness. Such a fantastic track!
*claps along*

Nice! I really like the build-up in the beginning and the rest of it is great too!

Ya, the beginning is great! (of course the rest is awesome too smile)

your a beautiful person

Awesome stuff!

Wow. Great! More please!

Big big_smile

Huge!

Well done.

The 303 and the synths sound so good in the mix. This track is a ton of fun!

wow, this sounds fucking awesome!

"hey hey" part is the best

Great track, like the feel of the start. It didn't go where i expected, went more poppy which was interesting.

Nice.
