Resolutions

back for more punishment! this year i'm going to try and write original lyrics for all my weeklybeats stuff and hopefully use some more of the hardware i have hanging around. this week i try to play guitar, but i'm not very good at it!

here are the lyrics:
utterly incapable of uttering a word of truth
running out of reasons to legitimize your wasted youth
fortitude is lacking but it's fortunate that you don't care
conveniently ignorant of all the years you've spent on borrowed time

still the same old songs
the same old people at the same old club
how many times will this weekend repeat itself?

so take your platitudes and can them
and your attitudes in tandem
go ahead and waste away
cause nothing here will last forever
take your platitudes and can them
and your attitudes in tandem
go ahead and waste your time
and change the things that never change a thing

still the same old boys
the same old questions in the same old club
how many times will this weekend repeat itself?

Nice! Like the folky feel, and the guitar wasn't very bad at all.

I liked it!  Keep up the guitar work.

Welcome back. smile

I dig it

You pretty much have this vibe nailed. A   would listen to while blogging about how my parents don't understand.

Dat punk/acoustic feel.  1 godinpants. This is good stuff.

I like the lyrics!! Nice chords too.

Beautiful performance, the first minute reminded me very much of Elliot smith, love it.

Awesome punk folk stuff man.

Yo, so here I am finally! smile I loved the intro, the lyrics are too cool, would have loved it if you kept the track at lower speed through out, with a more acoustic feel to it than anything else. I can't help but imagine how awesome it'd be if this was in the style of my favorite folk artist - Nick Drake! He's going to remain one of my most favorite musicians for life!

Hooray!  It's like 2001 all the sudden and I like it.

An acoustic midimachine! Works for me.

this song speaks to me... about my last weekend... how many times will this weekend repeat itself ?!?
