Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

This is groovy af! How did you go about your vocoding? I'm still a bit of a n00b with it and seems I have very mixed results. I'm guessing it's largely to do with what you're using as the carrier? Cheers!
i always find simpler carrier sources sound way better. this one's just a pulse/saw combo. a little bit of whitenoise is always a must too, i find. the vocals were already singing that melody but i dropped them down an octave using a monophonic stretching algorithm after the vocoder was in place - it made the tone nice and raspy so i kept it like that!
