This Is Our King

It's hard to find a leader who isn't in it for the money or the glory. Looking at the politicians of today makes me appreciate what a perfect King Jesus is. These lyrics draw from heavily on Philippians 2:5-11.
This is our King
He gave up his throne
Made himself nothing
The servant of all
This is our King
Perfect in all his ways
Wanting one thing
To honour his Father
God has exalted
Gave him name above all names
King of kings and Lord of lords
Every knee will bow
And every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord
Fill the heavens and the earth
With Jesus’ name
This is our King
They offered him fame
They offered him riches
And he turned them down
This is our King
He chose to die for us
He was humble
Dying to save us
God has exalted
Gave him name above all names
