Miau Shusha

Started this track as an attempt to ripoff one of Machinedrum's tracks, but ended up sounding more like Ital Tek. First time using chopped vocal samples in a track.

Constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated!

Nice and warm. Fizzy neon bass + Vangelis pads + supple footwork percussion = yum. Reminds me of Kuedo's early stuff a bit. Not super into the chipmunk vocal sample but it makes sense where it is. Great transitions too.

I don't really know what to call them, those like quick arps, but those are my favorite part. Such a cool sound. I do agree with license, the vocal sample wasn't really for me, but it did add some spice to the track. Real cool song tho.

Lots of great sounds including the brass lead synth stabs and shakers, percussion, delay effects is all well done.  I did not love the vocal treatment as it was a bit jarring and did not fit in the mix for me. Some parts where it was further back in the mix added a nice effect.  Much enjoyed!

Glad you liked the bass, it was a last minute desicion to add a layer of couple of detuned saws to a rather boring fm bass, didn't have time to understand whether i should have filtered hi freqs that these saws added(especially in the intro).
Added vocal samples because of the reference track by Machinedrum which has some rythmic vocal samples, so i grabbed literally the first ones from Komplete start library. Probably wasn't the best choice of samples, next time will avoid pitched up ones.

Thanks!! If you liked the quick arps, check out this track - https://youtu.be/tlvmRygxT8Q by Ital Tek, these arps are heavily inspired/stolen from that track. It wasn't on purpose, but listened to this and other his tracks a lot. And ended up with rather similar impressionistic synth arps

Thank you! I have similar feelings about these vocals now, the part where they are in the background and is quite enjoyable and not as alien to other sounds as in the part where they are introduced.

Thank you so much guys for your critique, i think now I understand better how I should approach this kind of music in the future. At least to stay away from chipmunk vocals smile
