futile improvements

A cheater submission. Had a couple of sketches during the week but didn't like them and decided to finish/polish an old track of mine that was badly mixed and missed something. I think I didn't manage to improve it. Maybe made a better mix in terms of tonal balance. Added a couple layers of synths and instead of the lead pluck made an operator patch from scratch and finally realized I didn't like it, but had no time to remake. Also added sub bass. Damn, spent almost all sunday on this smile

I blame ableton for my failure smile It's such a pain to move back to ableton 9 after bitwig, spent so much time searching for stuff like filter envelope depth, bitwig's modulation workflow is so much simpler and cleaner.

Anyway, I didn't improve my track the way I wanted, but got some experience I think. Mistakes are means to gain experience.

Critique is appreciated! Would be happy to get any mixing advice.

Here is the previous version if anyone interested - https://soundcloud.com/miaulement/proto-w4/s-xlqRY (it's almost the same, second half is a bit different)

I like all the buzzy stuff and the plucks but they got a bit drowned out by the (super lush) chords. Nice vibes, good winter tune.

Dang. Nicely done!

Like the lush floating pads, pretty strings sounds.

everybody cheats sometimes

These sounds are so full, it's wonderful.

This reminds me of DNTEL After Parties. Nicely done!

Really neat texture!  Love the swelling pads too.
