Carpenter Bombing

By mechlo on August 29, 2016 12:01 am

Decided to experiment with some LFOs and my classic synths. Wrote the soundtrack to the next Carpenter film. heart

great chord progression!

this is definitely the opening credits, while things are still optimistic and hopeful.  is this on hardware or software?  how did you mix it?  it sounds nice.

All hardware. I am pumping everything into an Allen and Heath mixer and doing 90% of the mix outside of the box with a little compression and EQing on the back end. This particular song is the Waldorf Rocket on bass, Juno Alpha 2 on paddy chords, arps on DW8000, lead on JU06, drums by R8. I had a lead on the Bass Station 2 that I ended up cutting out.

Being surrounded by keyboards is kind of my happy place so when I'm having trouble with that week's submission I just start going whole hog on sequencing midi and see how it turns out in the end. smile

you are AWESOME - boy that is so cool.  I enjoyed back when you did your videos as well - would love to see that with a multi-angle view of all these awesome gadgets

Nice piece

Just got a new camera so I am hoping to release some more videos. Once I get another monitor I'll be blasting my WB songwriting on Twitch.
