Beyond Words

This was a single take, stream of consciousness session where I processed my grief.

The sounds and arrangement really convey emotion well here. Moody and beautiful. Nice work. Sucks it takes grief to make beautiful music sometimes, doesn’t it?

I've found it hard to make the time to really listen to a lot of music from here the past few weeks, but I glad I found some spoons to do so this weekend. This was a beautiful piece. I started going through your backlog and realized I had commented before on your Week 5 piece haha. I can see from your posting consistency + comments that it's been a pretty busy year, but when you find the time, the arrangements you come up with are gorgeous. Not sure how/where you are sourcing your sounds, but they are also consistently interesting and mix together well despite being quite different between pieces.

A tune worth many words, or non-words.

Well as you can tell from the fact that it's taken me a month to check back in for comments, yes it has been a busy year! I got a new job at the end of January and our busy season is basically from March to October.

I really appreciate your kind words. Get my sounds from a ton of different places, but mostly from ROLI and Native Instruments. My main goal at the start of the year (when I had grander ambitions) was to consistently write something video game OST adjacent that someone could listen to and go "Yeah, I'd play that game" so I've tried to cover a gamut of styles and moods.
