Night Night

Moving away from the Volcas this week... One thing I really want to get to grips with in 2016 is sampling, I'm pretty good with VST and hardware synths but I'm keen to kick my sample-chopping workflow up a notch. Back when I was doing tracker based stuff (with the Piggy!) I used to love crunching up fragments of audio to make these odd textures and collages, but my Ableton sampling technique needs work...

So here's a quick tune where all the samples (barring the 808 drums) are all taken from a single source. It's a bit of fun really and I enjoyed making it - looking forward upping my sample game in future weeks!

this is really cool, sounds nice! good work

Well, I found your early Piggy stuff really inspiring, so is this joint smile

BTW, do u happen to have a copy of the Piggy for a Gamepark GP32? M* abandoned the support for that console and I'm afraid I should compile it myself, which really is a bummer.

Could we know which source did u use for that. Results feel very groovy and chill

nice beat, I was not expecting to read that they were all samples, but that's even more impressive. I was originally just going to comment on the arrangement because I love how much things bounce around side to side, but the snare keeps bringing you back to the center.
