The Sun Shall Rise Again

Many nights shackled in this lonely room
Every night, stone cold and steel blue
Horizon line is hiding just behind the thumb
When the day is done, I’m gonna come and steal you

I’ll eye the bull and stride into the source of my woes
And chase the skull that seems to follow everywhere you go

Raise your torch up higher
And we will see this through
The darkness must retire
The sun shall rise again, my dear, for you…

Onward we go marching up against the gale
The air out here, so dry, so stale
The moon is bright, and glowing up against the steep
We’ll climb by night and at the daybreak sleep

We’ll eye the bull and stride into the sources of our woes
And lose the skull that seems to follow everywhere we go

Raise your torch up higher
And we will see this through
The darkness must retire
The sun shall rise again, my dear, for you…

Stars begin to fade
Colors form from grey
Streaming glares of the sun
Command the shadows; “Be gone!”

Raise your torch of fire
We have seen this through
The darkness has retired
And the sun shall rise again, my dear, for you…

Great vibe, great sound - as usual! Well done smile

your voice reminds me a bit of john linnell of tmbg. this track is so good. professional, catchy, expansive, full, and fun smile

(:

You are really good at what you do. Congrats on another good song.

This is really great.  I thoroughly enjoyed this and would have been genuinely surprised to know this was completed within a week if I hadn't heard it here on Weekly Beats.  In fact, I still find it surprising.  Nice one.

Great everything. Really like that hammer dulcimer in the mix.

Thanks everyone! This one in particular took more time that I even had to give. I assure you, I haven't written or recorded my own songs in over four years. Everything you hear from me is and will be hot off the presses! This is the reason I signed up; the accountability to keep my nose to the grindstone.

Keep up the great work, friends!

Dude, nice work smile
