Flight 706

By Matt Patrick on March 25, 2012 9:56 pm

Flying by the seat of my pants on this one...

Fifteen minutes before I had to leave for a gig (after working for the last three days on this week's submission) I decided to pull the plug and finish it when I could make the most of it. With those few minutes to spare I put my guitar on, hit record and captured 7:06 of ambient music. Totally raw, unedited, completely unplanned. Warts and all.

Recorded at home on my Mbox with a c1000s, a Fender telecaster through my pedal board into a Peavey Classic 30.

Pretty stoked about what I already have for next week...

Delicious. Very good job! The humming adds a nice touch to it.

I enjoy the improvisational element of these types of tracks.  I'm keeping a few of these up my sleeve when time is against my side.... plus I just love doing it!  big_smile

cool, lots of nice ambient tracks this week

Wonderful guitar work.  Great tone once again.

very beautiful song. Doesn't matter it wasn't planned

the whole improvisational thing does work well with the ambient nature of the track, good good good

A breath of fresh air I say, well done.

Really beautiful and ethereal.
