onze

onze (eleven in portuguese) was the number of the apartment where I grew up and it is a number that always appears in my life somehow.

this week I was able to plug everything back in my new studio and decided to make a track using the equipment I had available. I'm also much more comfortable with the way the room and the speakers sound and had some help from the amazing Cybass, that commented my mix and helped with some issues.

Thank you so much! I believe my mixing chops are getting better. Finally! wink

The arpy synth and crunchy rhodes sound awesome.  Very cool smile

thank you! the whole track started with that bass arp in the minibrute and evolved from there. I had it playing a simple minor chord but a friend of mine add a couple of notes and took it to another place!

Maybe it's because you wrote about it, but it has a bright, optimistic flair to me, exactly what one would want to hear from a new studio! And super low kicks, great mix all around.

By the way, I was just checking out your homepage... you've done some amazing stuff as far as I can tell from my nonexistent Portuguese! Awesome video and light things! Makes me appreciate your presence here even more :-)

Thank you! I believe that being in the new studio will help me with my mixing chops. I guess this one is probably the best mix I did so far.

And thanks again, I'm really glad you enjoyed the other things I do. This is a great reminder to make a english version of my website as fast as possible! wink

This mix is crystal clear! Very low bass and excellent synth work as usual. I'm catching up with the comments very late in the week but I really appreciate both your music and your kind comments.

You really managed the mids here so they blend perfectly with the low end. A lot to learn and study in this track (for me at least)

Thank you so much, I am really happy with your comment, it really means a lot for me. I believe this is the best mix I have ever done (and mr. Cybass, a friend, really taught me a lot during this process) and I'm glad that other people like it as well. I finally feel I'm getting better at it!
