Yeah, I find especially when short on time (such as is often the case with weekly beats) that setting limits are a great way to just do something.

I think limitations often make ourselves push the limits of our confort zone. maybe you could have spent hours pickin' synths without settling for one sound and build a track, but instead yu did an excellent piece with rock solid drums and yet a gorgeous melodic layer.
