ZSJ12- Dog in the DAW

This week is another sound sketch, but it’s part of my homework for a songwriting course I’m taking with Venezuelan electronic producer, Arca.
She wanted us to do a listening meditation and create some samples from found sound, and then only use 2 other sounds on top of that. So I took the sounds of a dog skittering around and chewing and reversed it into a loop and tried to add something haunting over top.

Ha, nice use of the dog sample! I also like the basic loop underlying this track!

Wow, that's interesting. Gentle and rough at the same time. Much like.. Dogs?

She is a grayish brown pitbull named Vulf! Very gentle and rough.

The best combo smile

Found sounds add such texture and authenticity to everything. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much you design a sound. To get what you want you have to move some air!
