Gavotte

By marimbal on January 17, 2014 9:39 am

I had limited time this week due to work and then leaving on Saturday until halfway through next week, so I made a lighter, simpler and shorter song than my last two.
It loosely follows the Baroque dance form known as a 'Gavotte', although whether phrases begin halfway through the bar is debatable.

lovely! what do you use for orchestral libraries?

nice piece!

Well done! The composition is wonderful. Yes, what libraries do you use?

very nice to find another orchestra piece. Love the composition. thank you for the inspiration wink

Oh dang I love this. Has a really great playful feel. I love the way the dynamics on the melody are constantly going from loud to soft and back, because it offers you a lot of space to explore with composition. I also really enjoy how you constantly interpret and reinterpret the one central idea into different chords and the eventual ending, which is sooo natural and well done. Great!
