This week I visited my good friend Simon in Leipzig and he gladly collaborated with me on this weeks song. We went to a concert by the German band FJORT and were quite inspired by there style. Check them out if you like Post-Hardcore smile

lyrics:
die zeit treibt mich immer weiter vor ihr
was bleibt ist in mir das gefühl ich sei sediert
all die bunten farben verblassen, werden bleich
wohin trägt uns dieser fluss und noch wie weit?

weit genug
um zu verstehen
was all' das soll
wohin es geht

hab keine zeit für alles was ich scheinbar verlier
mit neid schau ich auf alle, die nicht stagnieren
mit gehisster flagge rein in den taifun
immer am rennen. doch ich komm’ nicht weit

weit genug
um zu verstehen
was all' das soll
wohin es geht

(4x) und alles was ich weiß
am ende zeigt uns zeit nur die wahrheit

(wahrheit)

lyrics translation:
time keeps pushing me further and further ahead
all that remains is the feeling inside me that I’m sedated
all the bright colors fade, turning pale
where is this river taking us, and how far?

far enough
To understand
what it’s all about
where it’s heading

I don’t have time for everything I seem to be losing
I look with envy at everyone who isn’t stagnating
with the flag raised, straight into the typhoon
always running. but I don’t get far

far enough
To understand
what it’s all about
where it’s going

(4x) and all I know
in the end, time only shows us the truth

(truth)

Are you even serious right now.
I love the riff. Ticking along like a clock, very time themed.
The lyrics sound like they could be from a serious Farin Urlaub song - and you know what that means coming from me. Of course I recognized the Fjørt influence later on, and I'm happy to see this is a collab with good ol' Medøly. smile
The whole build and the scream part are extremely satisfying.
If I were to give some constructive criticism, I'd say the voice could use a little bit more space or room to breathe during the first sections, and when the instrumentals become more dense I wish they'd cut through the wall of sound a little bit better.

But most importantly: I'm obsessed with whatever is happening for split second at 1:05. Favorited for that alone.

you make this shit look easy
i love the emo post punk post rock vibes
