Asteriod 3 (Chiptunes in space?)

A powerful, upbeat piece is a good way to start the year on weeklybeats! This could certainly be more polished.. but it's alright for a start :]

This year's weekly beats will be my first real go at music composition; I started using renoise 2 months ago more or less, and although I have had some practice in music (10 years of piano wink) and music theory in the past, audio design and composition is still very new to me. Thanks to the #renoise community on irc.esper.net for helping me get started with electronic music and giving me some pointers on my work.

I would love any comments you guys can think of, whether they are compliments or enumerations of the problems of this piece. I'm here to learn music, not self confidence =P

I feel I made the high voice way too loud, and the lower one could use a bit of dB boosting.

nice song!

cool melody, man. I agree the main lead could be just a touch quieter and bring the other elements out! Would love to hear a bit more percussion too. But great track!

I made this on really crappy laptop speakers, seems that they had a REALLY BAD frequency response. Hopefully someday not too soon I'll get some respectable monitors, but for now I'm just going to have to pay more attention to compensating for my speakers.

Metal stop justifying you have done a great job and its been fun being able to help you on IRC im proud of you you. Chill, 50 more weeks to go :-)
