This thing is rocking. I really like the atmospheric synths sitting in the back. The area around 2:02 gives me some old school porcupine tree vibes. I mean, they're inspired by kraut/space rock so I imagine its probably a sound inspired elsewhere within the scene.

thanks, loom. i never really listened to porcupine tree. maybe i should...

The synth in the mix adds an extra portion spacetripping quality to your song. welcome back in the arena.

I think for you their album Signify might be a good jumping off point. But who knows, you suggested Kraan to me a while back and the album I ended up latching into and throughly enjoying wasn't the original one you suggested but you were definitely in the ballpark by suggesting the band themselves. It's hard to know what someone will like.

But yeah, the further into their discography you go they start heading down the prog rock/prog metal route and further back they sound more psychedelic/kraut/space rock. Signify is kind of right there in the middle.

Nice mellow stuff you're cooking.
