Took a break from MaxMSP this week and fired up my modular. I have a little 7u system. Most of the voicing is coming from an intellijel shapeshifter and a basilimus iteritas alter. These are both super digital sounding so I'm running them through LXD which is a vactrol kinda filter/vca thing which softens them out a touch. I've got MI clouds and erica Black Hole DSP2 doing the effects, mostly reverb. A few shift registers and a quantiser keeping helping to keep the sequences vaguely musical. Taken from an hour or so long recording. When I landed on the bowed sounding lead I felt satisfied.
Feeling like sanity is slowly returning. Need to get out of the house more, last month has been mental.
