Different Doors

By Lyons on January 22, 2016 4:20 am

Ever been to the same place so many times with different experiences?
Pretty reptitive filmy minimalism, put together in about 45mins.

Tried to have some chromatic chord movement with smooth ostinato and pont-harmonics for a new timbral flavour.

Speaking of glissandos. Great contrast with the rocking background chords.

Minimalism (in general) was never this interesting.

Jesus, this is good.

How on earth is this neo-classical? tongue

This is really nice. Well done.

Sweeping, yet flat like an interior. Inventive use of your instrument with the door creaking. Brilliant work here

Really nice man. How do you record your DB?

It has some kind of Victorian atmosphere to it. Pretty impressive, even more considering how fast you build the entire song

Beautiful!

You are really killing it this year with your songs. Beautiful.

Wow, I'm putting this on my Galaxy Note to add to my rotation.  Beautiful sounds!

I love the contrast and tension created between the tonal centres created by the constant ostinati and the harmonics/gliss etc on top!

Wunderbar. Großartig.

really liked it except i thought the transition at like 2/3 of way sounded a little weird. beautiful sounds.

Lovely. A nicely orchestrated idea realised with technique. I like the brooding character the mode mixture and ponticello textures add to it. Only thing is that it ends kind of abruptly. Nice work, overall.

Woah.

Real basic setup, Interface with a Rode Nt1 condenser mic into Ableton. Mic pretty close to the F holes of the bass.

It all comes together pretty fast when I knuckle down, haha.

It's a botched transition but I WAS trying to get that dissonant wavelength beating.
