The Last Root Beer

By Lukayu on February 18, 2024 11:26 pm

Had to write something while being in one of the worst moods ever. Tried to have fun tho lol. I know the vocals could have been a lot better but I'm really just not feeling it at the moment. Oh well. I hope to write something a little better next week.

Lyrics

In a worlds final breath, he stands alone.
The man with the last root beer, to call his own.
Afraid to sip, to let disappear.
For once it's gone, what's left to hold dear?

Last Root Beer, precious and rare.
In a world now gone, he's the sole heir
torn between savoring, or letting it go
The fear of loss, a heavy blow.

The Bottle whispers, a bittersweet call
memories of a world that took its fall
To drink or not, the ultimate test
in his hands, the worlds last zest

Last Root Beer, precious and rare.
In a world now gone, he's the sole heir
torn between savoring, or letting it go
The fear of loss, a heavy blow.

I love you Root Beer

I feel ya man, it's really hard to try to create something when you're in a bad mood. But, I think this came out cool and I think you'll forget a year from now that this was one of those weeks you felt off and will be surprised by it smile. This kind of has a sludgy Soundgarden vibe to it (up until the growls at least, haha). I think it's that moody drawl you got on your vocal melodies combined the fuzzy guitar bends. Pretty new sound for you, it fits!

THIS IS AWESOME! It sounds like you weren't too happy with it but I think it's great. The bass driven sound is so good. This is exactly what I needed to hear today apparently! I'm really about that philosophical approach you are taking with the last root beer in all existence. I know you were probably just having some fun but the lyrics do carry a lot of weight in a way. I think the vocal style really fits the song well. I don't know what it is but I'm just really connecting with this track. I'm glad you pushed through the bad mood and made this!

Honestly, it is a lot better then I thought It was sunday. I'm happy with how it turned out haha I think the cool thing about making these songs every week is I can try different genres and new things and if it sounds cool, ill just keep it in and not try and fit a certain sound. I do really like that.

Thanks man! Reading this Sunday made my evening a lot better man! I do wanna give credit where credit is due, cause I didn't mention this in the post but I did use AI for the lyrics. I wish I could write but unfortunately I leave that to my wife and the AI gods. I did come up with the concept tho which does hold a lot of weight. I mean would you drink it? tongue
