Rainbow Escalator

By Lukayu on March 24, 2024 6:41 pm

This week is another chippy boi. My wife had hummed a tune for me to start with and that's how the song begins. Then she suggested the name which kind of works out cause the way the song is structured is almost like going up and down an escalator, parts are reversed and solos are rearranged to be backwards while still going forward. I just experimented with some stuff and it sounds cool.

Catchy! Nice one man.

I like the danceable nature of this one. I like those synths that come in at 1:00. Sounds kind of like an 8-bit guitar. There's some nice syncopated grooves in here.

I'm really digging the syncopated rhythms throughout, and how the end of the main hook has the little rhythmic rush at the end of the phrase. I also like that slidy lead melody around 0:35!

i enjoyed the harmonizing and the lead solo and riffing. really creative and exciting
