Desert of Desolation

Got a new guitar so was super excited to write this week, I'm also using a new free plugin called Roots by Amped and it made my guitar sound so damn gooooood. I messed around with different vocals, harmonies, guitar leads and solos. I really just had a blast writing this song, the only thing I'm still having a hard time doing is mixing, mostly the vocals, but also that's on me only being able to do a few takes before my voice hurts so I'm not getting the best vocals. Anyway, I saw Dune 2 this week and it was pretty kick ass, so I made my lyrics about being lost in a desert.

Nice! The vibes are so stoner-doom and the new guitar amplifier plugin sounds super good. Growls and vocals sound pretty good too.

Viridian nailed it, really dig the stoner doom sound.

Thanks a bunch! I love trying new vocals to see what's more "my sound", I guess, and these vocals felt like I'm getting super close finding it.

Thanks man, I feel like I'm accidentally writing a lot of stoner doom stuff. Though I hardly listen to it, kinda crazy haha

This sounds really cool! I really like the doom metal vibes in this track. That new guitar of yours sounds really good. I also like the mix of clean and growled vocals. This is really good writing. The riffs and other parts fit so well together. Really nice work!
