Feeling pretty inspired by Burial and Volor Flex at the moment. Y'know what though? I can't be arsed fishing around for foley and noise fx all the time, so the noise in this is my laptop fan. Maybe I'll add rain fx one day, or maybe not, I should focus on my own sound and aesthetic.

Tell me if you're feeling this one.

Really digging the chordal part here, the good noise, deep bass...nice stuff  I'm getting some odd crackles, though--not sure if that's part of the effects--and it seems like there's a heavy lean to the right channel. Ah, here's some audio on the left to balance it out.  Are you happy with that balance?  Also, what about the crackles?  Those notwithstanding,  I really like both the intro and the beat-oriented section.

Hey @onezero smile Yeah I sometimes get left and right balancing going a bit odd at times, but I've been recently thinking I want to make things feel like they're using the stereo space a bit simply (Beatles style panning), not to such extremes as such. I've found myself losing interest in pieces that are too central if you get me.

Yep I think if I'm to work on this more I gotta layer more crackles, fill up the upper frequency part of the spectrum more, and look into some rain and radio chatter. For this one I used just a computer fan and some iPhone recordings, but they're certainly not as interesting as they could be.

I had some noise being triggered on the drum transients as well, very subtle to make it feel more organic.

I think as well I find myself switching up any overall panning/leaning of instruments sometimes, as the left can feel boring at times, and others, the right. Perhaps its me getting tired of the West's left-to-right preference. Same goes for placement of sounds, sometimes the left can feel too expected for me, the right seems not used as much. I think you get what I mean, though the thinking is a bit left field.

Are you also saying there could be more crackle fx? I think you're right.
