Composed on the M8, using FM instruments. I've decided to focus on just using FM this month, with yet another sort-of-video-gamey song. It was fun playing with the sound design, especially the pitch sliding sound that comes in and out of the song.
As always, I did a bit of eq in Ableton, and ran it through the OP1-f with a tiny bit of Terminal bitcrusher and extra compression drive.
Next month I'll try to work a bit more on the drums and percussion, as they're quite basic here.

I like the power behind the driving motif at 1:40 and how it develops.  The bitcrusher/drive adds a lot at times, but applied to everything it sometimes gets in the way, too.  Not at 2:43, though—that was massive cool

Looking forward the percussion next week.

thanks! I think you're right about the bitcrusher overall - I lean towards quite a destroyed/bad-quality sound palette unconsciously (was thinking about it yesterday - I almost make music to be listened through really crappy speakers haha). Though with this song it's mostly the drive doing the business, I had the bitcrush down quite low for once.

agree on that bit at 2:43 YES more of that

For some reason this reminds me of Axiom Verge
